kpCompanies is honored to partner with the Black Collective Foundation MN to identify the next Director of MN LEAD (Minnesota Legal Education, Advocacy and Defense). This is a full-time, 18-month fixed-term position for a collaborative leader ready to transform established momentum into measurable, lasting impact across the state.
As Minnesota's first Black community foundation and a national pioneer in culturally specific philanthropy, the Black Collective Foundation MN invests boldly in organizations, leaders, systems, and ideas—advancing a more just Minnesota where Black people and all people are holistically well and living with dignity, power, and prosperity.

Step Into Meaningful Work
MN LEAD is not a start-up. The vision is established, the relationships are real, and the work is already underway. What this moment calls for is a Director who can bring focus, structure, and trusted partnership to an initiative that communities across Minnesota are counting on. Working closely with the Foundation's President and CEO and a small, highly collaborative team, the Director will lead day-to-day implementation of MN LEAD—coordinating experts, building coalitions, launching programs, and ensuring that leaders across the state have access to timely legal, policy, communications, and technical resources.
During the first 18 months, the Director will establish clear strategies and measurable priorities across three to four core areas, launch a sector leadership and learning program, expand access to critical expertise, and increase MN LEAD's visibility and credibility statewide. For the right person, this is a rare opportunity to step into work that is already meaningful—and make it measurably more so.
Wages & Compensation
This position offers a competitive salary in the range of $90,000–$100,000, commensurate with experience.
